“My name is James C. Russell. I have been employed with QCMR since June 2014. I spent 24 years, 9 months, 3 days in prison. I was released at the age of 56 years old with no skill set, this made it very hard to get a stable job as well as my past. Queen City Metal took a chance and hired me. They not only did not judge me by my past they saved my life. I was given the opportunity to be judged by my work ethic.
I don't know what I would of done without this place, as it gave me hope and pride in myself that I had not had in years. I now have a sense of pride knowing that I have a job and people who truly care about me as a person. This company and mostly Michelle the confidence I could do anything. All I asked God was a chance and this place gave me that.”

“My name is Anthony Perez, I was in Prison in NY at Rikers Island. I moved to NC to try and start a fresh life. I had looked for a job for a long time before having the opportunity to meet Michelle Coffino. I was not only a father but I really wanted a new direction in my life in employment.
God has really shown me the light and most of all the the team at QCMR. They have empowered me with a belief, and a new trade for a career path to provide a future for my family. I truly can not say enough about the importance of having someone believe in you to be a better man, father. With all Michelle has shared with me I now most of all can be a friend and mentor to others.”

“I came to work for QCMR while I was incarcerated with a 15 year prison sentence. For me this was the best thing to ever happen to me in my life. I was welcomed shown respect by everyone. My training within this company has been imeasurable. Not only did I learn a trade I was given the skill set to be able to communicate and work with a lot of different types of people. I am excited about my job and I love my life again.
The best part has been my boss, Michelle has mentored me about kindness, and passion for your job and others. For me most of all she has given me the abaility to love myself and my self worth.
Now everyday I make a plan before I leave work to make the next day a better one.”

“In life, we all make mistakes. It is through our failures often come our best lessons. While along our journey the Creator places special people in our path that help shape the next phases of our lives. Michelle Coffino and Queen City Metal Recycling was a defining moment in my transition.
At Queen City Metal Recycling, I was able to gain a new outlook on life and enterpernuership. Seeing a female lead multiple companies as well as being a mother and a friend was a new vision for me. It gave me strength to believe in my abilities as a woman inspiring to be great.
While Working with Ms. Coffino I was allowed an opportunity to grow and learn giving me the confidence needed to push my life to the next level. Thank you so much Queen City Metal Recycling for providing opportunities. It's through your Second Chance program that new lives are born.”
